About Us

History

Expert Solutions was formed in 2007 to provide small and medium sized businesses with best-in-class information technology services. While working in the industry we noticed that most small businesses do not have the proper infrastructure to take advantage of technology. We have made it our goal to come up with a full range of services that allow businesses to operate smoothly and efficiently, while also providing a safe, secure backup and disaster recovery environment.   We work to provide superior service so that our clients can stay focused on their businesses and use technology, not worry about it. At Expert Solutions, we partner with our clients to come up with the best solutions for them.

Services

Server Management

 Includes both proactive and on demand support. 24/7 monitoring of servers for faults, failures and resource monitoring.

  • Microsoft software updates: Microsoft offers regular software updates to address operating system problems such as bugs, performance problems or security issues. We utilize a patch whitelisting service to ensure that Microsoft patches are tested and approved before applying them to the Client’s servers.
  • Disk space thresholds: Disk space is monitored to ensure maximum performance. We notify Client of space problems and potential solutions.
  • Event Log monitoring: We partner with a service that provides monitoring of server Event Logs for potential problems. Since we are a small company, we leverage their large client base and knowledge in this area. Because of their large client base, they have an extensive database of Event Log issues that are known to be problematic as well as the solutions to many of these issues. These logs are monitored 24/7 so that potential problems can be dealt with quickly, and hopefully before they become major issues. They notify us at the first sign of a potential issue and give us potential options for dealing with the problem.
  • Anti-Virus: Servers are protected by multi-vendor antivirus management software which is centrally managed and updated automatically.
  • Reporting: We provide access to a central console for viewing reports on virus activity, server uptime, disk space utilization, patch updates applied, event log reports, trouble tickets opened/closed and more.

Desktop and End User Support

 Includes both proactive and on demand support.

  • Microsoft software updates: Microsoft offers regular software updates to address operating system problems such as bugs, performance problems or security issues. We utilize a patch whitelisting service to ensure that Microsoft patches are tested and approved before applying them to the Client’s desktops.
  • Anti-Virus: Desktop PCs are protected by multi-vendor antivirus management software which is centrally managed and updated automatically. Unfortunately, anti-virus software does not stop all virus infections. Safe surfing habits will help prevent viruses. We cover minor infections under this offering. Major infections can be billable. A major infection would be considered one that requires reloading of an operating system or systems, or one that spreads throughout the network to multiple PCs.
  • Printer Support: Basic support of printers is covered. If issues are believed to be hardware related, then Expert Solutions will advise repair, replacement or the contacting of the printer manufacturer for additional support.

Backup Services / Disaster Recovery

 Data backup and recovery is necissary in todays world. Files get deleted, hardware fails, data gets corrupted, and hackers hold data for ransom.

  • On-site backup / DR appliance: As part of this offering, we will be installing a backup appliance in the Client’s office. This device holds a local image/file level backup of all servers covered under the agreement. Backups are performed at frequent intervals to be decided by the client. This device also acts as a backup server should the primary server fail.
  • Off-site Backups / DR: As with the on-site backups, this device also holds images of the servers and file level backups. Should the local server and appliance be made inaccessible (say for example by a storm), the servers can be replicated in the cloud. Data is retained for 1 year.

Network Management

 Networks come in all shaped and sizes.

  • Network Planning: Experienced design, installation, maintenance and ongoing support for all network services.
  • Network Support: Local area networks and wide area networks are monitored 24/7. We provide support of switches, router/firewall and VPN connections. Performance related issues are evaluated and resolved.
  • 24/7 Monitoring: The same partner we utilize for our patch whitelisting also provides a monitoring service with a 24/7 network operation center. The servers, routers and/or firewalls, managed network switches are monitored for outages, interruptions and other important events. We will work with the client to design a response plan based on client’s needs and importance of the device.
  • Wireless Services: Provide wireless network planning including wireless site surveys to optimize placement of your wireless access points
  • Network Audits: Audit services with a written evaluation to make sure your existing solution is optimized and compliant with business regulations.
  • Network Support: Local area networks and wide area networks are monitored 24/7. We provide support of switches, router/firewall and VPN connections. Performance related issues are evaluated and resolved.
  • 24/7 Monitoring: The same partner we utilize for our patch whitelisting also provides a monitoring service with a 24/7 network operation center. The servers, routers and/or firewalls, managed network switches are monitored for outages, interruptions and other important events. We will work with the client to design a response plan based on client’s needs and importance of the device.
